According to GSMArena, Infinix will unveil its 260W charging solution on March 11. An image confirms the upcoming Infinix 260W “Thunder Charge” charger, which is shown next to a phone that looks similar to the Infinix Zero Ultra, which debuted with 180W charging capabilities.
According to reports, the new 260W charging system will include a four-way 100W charge pump as well as an AHB (advanced high-performance bus) circuit design with safe charging control.
Infinix is said to be testing a 100W wireless charging solution in addition to this new charging standard. It will feature a custom-coil design with improved charging efficiency, lower internal resistance, and longer peak power charging time.
You’ll recall that Xiaomi recently demonstrated a 300W fast charger that charges, 4100 mAh in 5 minutes, and when it comes to the smartphone charging speed, realme recently hold the top spot. With the newly released realme GT3 supports 240W charging and can charge a 4600mAh battery in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
According to our source, Infinix will announce its 260W charging solution a week from now on March 9. It remains to be seen if we’ll see a new phone launch alongside the 260W charger or if it will use a modified version of the Infinix Zero Ultra. In all cases Infinix will bring a phone with 260W charger to the market by the end of the year.
Once launched, Infinix will secure the throne as the maker with the fastest charging phone. We await more information in the coming days.
