It’s barely 48 hours since the eNaira digital currency launched, and no fewer than 100,000 Nigerians have downloaded the eNaira speed wallet from the play stores.
However, the review the app is getting is not encouraging at all… On Google Play Store, the application is rated one star of the obtainable five stars.
Though Apple App Store did not show the number of downloads, the App is rated four of five.
The 8.8 megabytes app is designed with green as its dominant color, with a mixture of white and black.
Many users complained of bugs. According to them, they encountered challenges trying to set up an account. While some said the App is not accepting their e-mail addresses, others complained that it was rejecting their Bank Verification Numbers.
I try to create an account on the official ‘eNaira Speed Wallet’ app but encountered some problems.
After providing all the necessary information and tapping sign up, a message popped up and hindered the registration process.
The message read “We have encountered a problem with the BVN validation service, please try again later. Service timed out.”
I also noticed that the date of birth calendar available on the app stops at January 2003, which implies that the minimum sign-up age is 18. Some users also said activation email goes into junk and spam folders.

Download and launch the eNaira Speed Wallet from Google Play or Apple Appstore.
