Not too long ago, Xiaomi released the stable version of MIUI 12.5 pushing to different Xiaomi devices, while some are still waiting for the upgrade; the ones who have received it are waiting for the next update.
According to the latest report, MIUI 13 is scheduled to be released around June 25 next month, almost the same time as last year’s releases.

Xiaomi was known for supporting models that were on the cheaper side of the price spectrum even if they were four years old. However, it is said that Mi 9 Series, Xiaomi MIX 3, and Redmi Note 8 Series will be abandoned and have no chance to upgrade MIUI 13.
As for the features of MIUI 13, the few official public talks have mentioned that the next-generation MIUI system will continue to optimize animations, while the super wallpaper feature (allowing users to customize the creation), as well as bring more other new features.
