WhatsApp has been working on a lot of upcoming features lately which we believe are still under development. Some of which we’ll be sharing with you below;
Vacation Mode
Vacation Mode is still in development and is based on the Silent Mode. When it’s enabled, Vacation Mode will prevent archived chat sessions from becoming active again once a new message is received.
It was being worked on for more than a year ago, at a point the development of this feature was discontinued, and now, it has been resumed… meaning you are going to have this feature later in the future.
Once it’s enabled from your WhatsApp Notification Settings, archived chats won’t be un-archived if you have previously muted them!
The Vacation mode is also useful if you don’t want a specific chat in your Chats List: if you mute and archive it, you will never see it again, except if you view your Archived Chats.
Media Guidelines
WhatsApp is implementing guidelines when you add interactive annotations on images, videos, and GIFs, so you can perfectly align text, emojis, and stickers.
This happens when sending an image in a chat, group, or status update.
The above-listed features are not yet available but are currently been developed.
