3 years past and we are just seeing another addition to the Gionee S series dubbed as the S12 lite, and is expected to launch in Nigeria October 5th.
Gionee S12 Lite features a 6.52” IPS LCD with 720 x 1,600 px resolution (20:9), It’s running Android 10 on a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset. It features eight Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz plus a PowerVR GE 8320 GPU at 600 MHz.
For the storage, it comes with 3GB RAM, 32 GB onboard storage with support for an external micro-sd card slot.
For the cameras, we have a triple rear camera of 13MP main module, 5MP ultrawide (fixed focus lens), and a 2MP depth sensor. Also here is a fingerprint reader. 8MP front-facing camera housed in a waterdrop notch. Both front and rear cameras top out at 1080p @ 30 fps video recording.
The Gionee S12 Lite is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that charges over an outdated micro USB port. Additional connectivity includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack (with FM radio), Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth 4.2 (there’s no NFC).
The phone is said to be available in two color variants: blue and gray. The price of the new Gionee S12 Lite smartphone is not known and the company is just teasing the phone on its official Facebook page as of now.
