Regardless of your battery size, we all desire to have a fast charge technology… I mean topping up a 4000mAh battery in less than 30 min; and this is what OPPO is here to give us.
According to the report, OPPO 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging tech is currently the fastest in the market. It can top up a 4,000mAh battery in just 30 minutes.
If that wasn’t fast enough for you, the company has all but confirmed that it will launch its insanely fast 125W fast charging solution on July 15.
From the teaser OPPO posted this morning, we don’t expect OPPO to announce a new smartphone featuring 125W fast charging solution but we should get a timeline to when it will release commercially.
How Fast is too Fast?
Vivo announced last year an upcoming 120W fast charging solution for its Iqoo range of phones. The company claims that the device is capable of reaching a 50% charge in just 5 minutes and 100% in 15 minutes. That’s likely the same for Oppo’s upcoming 125W charging, although it could be slightly faster.
For OPPO, we should be expecting maybe 0 – 100% in 12 minutes or less; though we are not sure yet.
In all of this, it comes with its own disadvantages like battery degradation after a particular circle of charging. We really hope OPPO and vivo work out the problem before bringing this to the market.
If we may ask you, how long do you normally use to charge your current smartphone… 1hr or slightly above 1hr?
It’s not about the short period of charging, the problem is; we don’t want to hear the phone has exploded and killed somebody, nor should we hear it shocks or that the the battery drains too fast.
