HMD Global has launched two new midrange Nokia smartphone “Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2”.
Nokia 7.2 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ Waterdrop PureDisplay that uses Dedicated Pixelworks visual processor to upscale video content to HDR quality in real time.
It is powered by the tried and true Snapdragon 660 chipset (HMD is not very adventurous with chipsets). The 660 is fast enough, but won’t set the world on fire. It’s coupled with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB storage (eMMC). The card slot can hold two SIMs and a microSD card up to 512GB.
The phone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and HMD has committed to update to Android 10
The 7.2 also offers a triple-camera system, a 48-megapixel main camera, along with the same 8-megapixel 118-degree wide angle lens and 5-megapixel depth sensor.
The 7.2 packs a 3,500mAh battery with standard 10W charging over USB-C.
