Redmi Note 8 pro has finally been launched, as the successors of the impressive Redmi Note 7 series. The Note 8 Pro is actually the first officially announced smartphone in the world with a 64 MP camera.

The Redmi Note 8 comes with 6.3″ LCD screen and Full HD+ resolution – no OLED for the affordable series, fingerprint scanner is located at the back and not under the display.
Looking at the specification, the smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 665 chipset, based on the 11 nm process. The SoC has eight Kryo 260 cores – four of them clocked at 2.2 GHz, the other clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Redmi Note 8 comes with four camera shooters – the main one is 48 MP with the latest Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor. 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP dedicated macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The front panel sports a notch for the 13 MP selfie camera.
It is housed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 18W charging speeds and USB-C port, flanked by a 3.5 mm audio jack.
It will be priced at CNY999 ($140/€125) for the 4/64 GB option, 6/64 GB for CNY1,199 ($167/€150) and 6/128 GB for CNY1,399 ($195/€175).
Redmi Note 8 Pro
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inches display with a 91.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The fingerprint scanner is just below the camera setup.
Redmi Note 8 Pro has its four-camera vertical setup in the middle of the panel. Looking into detail, the 64 MP main shooter is accompanied by the same 8 MP ultra-wide + 2 MP depth + 2 MP macro combo as in the Redmi Note 8.
The front facing camera comes with 20MP with AI features and scene recognition options.
Looking at the spec sheet, the Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with Mediatek’s Helio G90T, becoming the first smartphone with the new SoC platform. It also has 6/8 GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage, housed by 4500mAh battery and has 18W rates of quick-charging.
It also comes with a liquid cooling chamber in case of unexpected heating from the gaming chipset. There is also the feature to connect both to Wi-Fi and 4G.
The price is starting from CNY1,399 ($195/€175) for the 6/64 GB option and goes as high as CNY1,799 ($250/€225) for the 8/128 GB variant.
Why use mediatek to spoil dis beast, dem fuckup
I believe Helios G90T is the lastest mediatek processor chipset which is even better than snapdragon 730. It can allow you to connect to 2 wifi internet at the same time, support up to 64mp camera and even prevent online games from disconnecting when there is an incoming call which even the lastest snapdragon 855 can’t do. So i think it is good idea from xiaomi.
