This appears to be a good news to more than 1billion WhatsApp users out there as Google and Facebook team up to offer free unlimited WhatsApp back up on google drive.
WhatsApp is formally informing all customers that due to a new agreement with Google, backups will no longer count against Google Drive storage quota.
Until now, any WhatsApp data that was backed up onto Google’s Drive counted toward the space you had available in the cloud. But the Facebook-owned company cut a deal with Google to make those backups completely free, even while staying inside your personal account.
This changes will take effect starting from November 12, 2018.
Also, all WhatsApp backups that haven’t been updated in more than one year will be automatically removed from Google Drive storage, so make sure you manually back up your WhatsApp data by November 12 if you don’t want to lose it.
Nice
not bad at all. alot of people will love the decision.
This is good
Good development

Very Good.
Thanks for this info.
Nice one
Very nice
That’s gud
Good but even d back up consumes data
Good one. but hardly back-up except when I want to change phone
Good. But I don’t back up.
Thank you Jendo. An average Nigerian will prefer backup on his /her memory card and other storage devices than using data to backup and still use data to get it back when needed.
Looking at the cost of data…Nigerians hardly back up
welcome development
