Verified on Instagram – It was formally exclusive to celebrities, public figure, global brands or entities but now, it is open to everyone.
Infact it was very difficult to get verified on on Instagram before now, but that’s changed. Now anyone can easily request a verified badge – wait for the process to complete and get verified.
Being verified means your account has been confirmed as authentic by Instagram. This helps people avoid imposters and easily find the brands or public figures they want to follow. Verified accounts have a little blue check mark beside their name.
How Do I Get verified on Instagram (The Blue tick)
Applying only takes few moments
Step 1: Open the Instagram app and navigate to Settings
Step 2: Scroll down and tap Request Verification
Step 3: Type in your account name, full name, and a photo of your ID if you’re a person, or a legal or business ID (upload your ID card i.e your voter’s card, National ID card International passport, driver’s license or any government issued ID card) if you have an Instagram for Business account
Step 4: Hit send
After reviewing your application, you’ll be notified whether your request is approved or denied. But don’t expect a response right away. There’s not a specified timeline for how long the process takes.

hmm, it’s nice but there’s always a but in the situations. I thought the appeal of this verified badge lay in its exclusivity. If everyone can become verified, it takes that joy away.
Okay will give it a trial though am not a fan of Instagram.
