WhatsApp Group Calling Voice and Video Now Rolling Out to Android & iOS

In the past weeks, we’ve seen diverse of update from the popular instant messaging app ranging from suspicious link detection, message forwarding and restriction and Group calling.

WhatsApp group calling features was first announced in October last year and was gradually rolled out to some iOS beta users 9 weeks ago. Now, WhatsApp is rolling out Group audio and video calling to all users beginning from today.

With the latest feature on WhatsApp, you can make a group call with up to four people in total at anytime and anywhere. You can simply connect your friends, family in a group video call regardless of the network condition.

How Do I Start WhatsApp Group Calling (Voice/Video)

Just start a one-on-one voice or video call and tap the new “add participant” button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call.

The feature is currently rolling out on the iPhone and Android versions of our app. Just update your app to the latest and you are good to go.

  1. Whatsap group call is nice just like conference calling you dont need to be in any group to enjoy it, just add numbers from your contact

    Just found out that this new whatsapp updates no longer work on Android 4.4
