There’s a new BlackBerry smartphone dubbed Blackberry Key2, the latest effort to revive the faded brand.
The BlackBerry Key2 was unveiled Thursday in New York by TCL Communication, the Chinese manufacturer which took over the rights to the smartphone brand from the Canadian tech firm in 2016.
What is Blackberry Key2 Made of?
It features a 4.5-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (128GB on the black version), and packing a 3500mAh hour battery, as well a new, larger and more intelligent keyboard.
The BlackBerry KEY2 steps into the role of being a KEYone successor quite nicely.
How Much Does it Cost?
It will be sold this month starting at $649 (N245,000), according to the company.
Note that Nokia 7 Plus and Blackberry Key2 have similar spec but Nokia 7 Plus cost just $380, while Key2 is twice the price of Nokia 7 plus.
Blackberry haven’t been selling much devices of late compare to other OEM’s probably because their price tag is too high.

Blackberry seriously need to review the price tag on their devices otherwise, 6ft grave isn’t hard to dig.
nothing spectacular about it yet it goes for over 600dolls. na wa for them o, 6ft grave really isn’t hard to dig, loll
God forbid me buying this for such an amount. Even God forbid me buying a blackberry phone no matter the spec
No its not worth the price.
Blackberry never serious. See price tag. They should better reduce that price if they wish to make a comeback.
Is blackberry still in existence….too pricey
4.5″ screen size for $600? It seems the blackberry brand has not learned their lesson.
This people are making me laugh, if they sell up to 75 unit in Nigeria that’s successful. Can’t stop laughing. BB rest in peace jare
instead of them thinking of how to revive their brand, they are churning out costly phones. never really liked BlackBerry
First off, I dislike blackberry phones and then you can just imagine the price tag. Its already dead on arrival

Having problem of battery drain.
I noticed “cell standby” is the issue.
It drains my battery like fuel nuzzle.
Is there any solution for this?
I love this device. I have always loved physical keyboard. The fact that it is pure android makes me more interested.
From beginning I always called them greedy company. They are even trying to maintain their old design.
