The time is getting closer to embrace 5G Network even though some of the states are yet to experience the flash lightening of 4G technology.
I went to a particular state in the Northern area of Nigeria, and only what my smartphone could grab on MTN network was 2G… so sad but there was nothing I could do. Brands are already working on smartphone devices that will support 5G network; starting from Huawei’s first ever 5G phone to be release in Quarter 3 of 2019.
Earlier this year, MTN Nigeria conducted her first ever 5G technology test in partnership with ericsson and hit 20Gbps with less than 5ms latency in the 5G trial. MTN has received a temporary license for 800MHz of spectrum in the 15GHz band to conduct its 5G trials.
Imagine want you can do with 5G technologies running at your disposal – The good news is, MTN NG will be conducting TECHFEST 2018, a two days event that would provide relevant product education, new technology and geeks, future tech projections, tech solutions, tech devices and gadgets, MTN’s tech offerings and new technologies to the attendees of the event.
The Major highlights of the event would be the Introduction of MTN 5G network. I’m sure you don’t want to miss that. Its happening live in Lagos 15-16 of May 2018. Click here to register.
Dusting off everything that has to do with 2G, 3G, 3.5G and…in my life.
If you’re still using 3g, sorry ooo. However, I noticed that, as at the release of mtn 4g, the speed was awesome. With the increase of traffic, the speed has reduced.
Useless people, even wen der 4G network doesnt av wider coverage, they still want to launch 5G network using band 800mhz
Mtn all the way.
Downloads will be at the speed of light.. This is good news
These people think Nigeria is an experiment and dump ground abi. They haven’t even perfected their 4g. The speed has dropped to the level of some network’s 3g and now they are making noise about 5g
Funny enough, MTN 4G network in Kaduna state is blazing fast. Faster than SMILE, Spectranet. Precisely Romi. couple with the fact that I’m eligible for double data offer.
We are okay with the 4g
Nigeria is still far behind in terms of technology,I dont think we really need dis 5G for now,the 4G that we have sef…it hasn’t circulated so y bringing 5G when it will be as good as useless for so many…
Its just my opinion
Wao! 5G network. That would be nice
Good news. But no 5g phoses yet. It may take upto 6 years to have 5g phones in africa
Mtn 4g isn’t stable in so many locations, they are talkn about 5g. I reserve my comment
5G? When 4G is not yet available nationwide.
Mtn, always the first to get there…
Useless MTN their 4g is not stable enough and they are planning 5g. MTN simply lack focus.
MTN really ?, I’m yet to use their 4g and they are talking about 5g ???
EMPTY HEN
Mtn should first give us correct 3G /H+ internet speed like 15 to 45mps since 3G has nationwide coverage. All these networks providers ‘4G’ are just names on papers, fake fake fake!!!
good news
While this is commendable shouldn’t mtn be putting more effort in penetrating rating places where they don’t have network with their 4g.
Still battling on how to use 4G, and 5G is here. Pls i dont want 4g or 5g.
MTN i need 10G. Lolz
Mumu Mtn
These guys are not serious ooo
The 4g speed sef no be here
Well done to them, but am still using 3.5g
I’m even yet to experience the full power of 4G
