Why Can’t Airtel Introduce This Type of Data Plan 28GB for N1628?

From NCC last reports, it shows that Airtel had more
subscribers in January compared to other telcos, I don’t know how and why but I
want to guess because of their coverage. On the other hand, subscribers have
always preferred cheaper data plan and Comparing Glo N2,000 for 7.5GB and
Airtel N2000 for 3.5GB is a no go area at all.

Using Glo network to me looks like a forbidden fruit because
it will take forever to open a single page without image loading.
Scrolling through Airtel India, I discovered that they just
launched a new plan that offers 28GB of data and unlimited calls for Rs 345 (N1,628) per month.  This sound too good to be true … But
when it comes to Nigeria, they are stingy with data. Or it seems they don’t
trust Nigerians when it comes to data usage because some of you too don’t trust
yourself when it comes to data usage.
Why can’t airtel just bring something enticing like this to
her subscribers in this country? We are tired of all those crappy airtel basic
internet, and questionable data plans that zaps in minutes.
I still consider it a pure wickedness introducing a virus
data plan 2GB for N200 and only works efficiently on 2G network (222). Those
who opted into this plan are still complaining till today because even Airtel
management don’t know what code to press to opt you out of this virus data
plan.
We need that kind of data plan (28GB for N1,628) introduced
in India right here… Airtel need to wake up and do something.
Spread the love

  1. Obviously, Airtel is still confuse; Glo is more confused than ever. I wonder who will bail them out of this predicament.

  2. But i won't blame them shaa. The cost of running their facilities which includes cost of diesel in Nigeria is alarming. We can't compare it with countries that enjoy 24/7 power supply. Most of the problems Nigeria have today is from the government. Once govt fixes things right, other sectors will improve.

Well, i hope airtel try and offer at least the same data rate glo is offering.

    • Airtel and Glo are they not in thesame country? Why is Glo cheaper than Airtel? Don't even mention ETisalat because I don't see them as a network.

Etisalat right now is about to be taken over by some banks in Nigeria because they cannot pay their loan.

    • Yes Airtel and Glo are in the same country why are you not buying Glo data then ?
Glo is cheap but you cant use it and you are still complaining Glo to Airtel in terms of price, cheap rotten apple is surely cheaper compare to fresh apple

  3. Oga prof, 4get that news ooo.. Right Now I'm in india but this plan is just an offer to some people and its not 345 but 999 inr but unlimited call and data for a month with data cap of 70GB and 2.5gb a day…
Here airtel is trying not to loose their game to new network in town call Reliance Jio that gives free call and data to everyone for four months now. I can go on an on but it will make you want to stone naija networks..

    • Hello Tryanzer,
Long time, how have you been? Nice to know you are in India but that plan that goes for Rs345 was launched last week; the one of Rs999 has been in existence. Check well because Indiatimes carried it.

I just wish we can have something encouraging down here in Nigeria even though if its just 10GB for N2500. Stay charged bro.

  4. Oga Prof, I'm not trying to say the plan is a hoax but it's selective and it will end 31st March..
999 was just 10GB data plan only b4 but now unlimited data and voice calls to selected few.
Yeah very long time sire, i do visit here and telegram group every day to know what up with my country…
