Hello Prof, i used the Hovatek TWRP method to root my Tecno C8 since i dont want to wait for Kingroot ? but to my suprise the phone becomes super-slow to an extent that it cant run 2 apps at a time (tweakware n UCBrowser). Later i factory reset the phone thinking that maybe it'll get okay but to my suprise the root access is gone n what frustrated me the most is that it wiped clean the internal storage which made me lost more than 4000 pix,
Pls im thinking about switching to Marathon M5 or please help me suggest camera centric phones im not gonna get back to tecno again

How are you? The rooting process made it to be super slow. Factory reset will erase everything on your smartphone including the root access… sorry about that.
Gionee M5 or M5Plus is a good alternative. Since you've totally divorce Tecno. Go ofr Gionee M5 the 3GB Version with supports for 4G LTE. Do not go for the 2GB version because it doesn't support 4G LTE.
Thank you sir, I'm just wondering if there's an easy method that can help me recover some of my pix. I'd recovered data many times from hard/flash drives even on my Gionee P2, but the problem now is C8 doesn't mount as UMS but MTP which makes it undetectable by data recovery softwares. Please help me coz loosing those pix i cant take
