The NCC has described this spectrum as a significant trigger for a broadband
revolution that will unlock benefits such as greater coverage, access,
affordability and innovation, with the customer at the centre of these gains.
The 2.6GHz acquisition, he said has set the stage for the roll-out of 4G LTE
broadband internet services across the country, starting in the major cities of
Lagos and Abuja.
MTN
is seeing its success in this auction as a big boost to its plan to deliver
global mobile broadband and LTE 4G services to over 60 million customers in
Nigeria.

I
can fully see the 4G LTE sign on my phone, fully waiting for the launch. Others
in Abuja should also see the same.

When
it comes to things like this, other states are usually the last to witness
including Port-Harcourt (Maybe those states are not part of Nigeria).

Better late than never.
Will it work 4 3G phones?
No. 3g phone is for 3g networks.
No amount of praying and fasting will make it work on 3G phones. Even the so called 4G phones, its not all that will be supported
Lol. No miracle on that one
Mtn 4G is ready But I don't know what they are waiting for. But my question is this, hope they won't ask us to buy another different mtn 4g sim?
No, sim is sim, they can't ask us to buy new sim. It is the network that is bn upgraded.
They might ask us to exchange our sim for the 4g sim, lol joking but its possible bcos some 2g sim was exchanges before the can receive 3g back then
