Official: How to Upgrade Tecno Camon C8 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

After
waiting for a pretty long time, Android 6.0 Marshmallow officially arrived on Tecno
Camon C8. I know you all have been expecting it and here you have it.
There
are two method of updating your Tecno Camon C8 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, either through SD
card or using SP Flash tool but I’m simply going to provide SD card method and
later provide SP Flash tool method to those who don’t know how to.

Requirements
>>Download
the marshmallow (868MB) (UPDATED LINK HERE)
>>To
be on a safer side, make sure you are not rooted. If you are, kindly unroot before proceeding.
Follow
The Below Steps
1.Place
Tcard_update_20160415 on your SD Card (DO NOT PUT IN
INSIDE ANY FOLDER)
2. Switch off your Tecno Camon C8
3. Hold Power Button + Volume Up until you see the startup logo then release
the Power Button Only after which you’ll see the Android logo.
4.
Hold the Power Button for 2 seconds and then press Volume Up
button without releasing the power button until you see the below image.
5.
Use Volume Down to navigate to Apply update from sdcard then press the Power
Button to select
7. You will enter a new interface as shown below.
Use the Volume Down to navigate to Tcard_update_20160415
then select it with the Power Button

8. The installation will begin and when it is done you will see the interface as seen
below. Select Reboot system now

The
phone will reboot. This could take up to 5 minutes. once its completed, you’ll have  HiOS and Marshmallow 6.0
on your C8.

    • Too much traffic. Better try it with puffin browser. But download Dropbox in ur phone If u don't have it. create Dropbox account if u don't have 1. Then download the file with puffin browser and select Dropbox as download location . u will then download it from ur Dropbox to ur phone later.

  24. Hey Guys, i have updated my sister's c8. The update is cool… Really cool I mean, but i have found some bugs so far.
    1. Camera: 2-3 restarts after the update, the camera becomes unstable. back camera ain't working, you are only left with the front camera which too turned upside-down no matter how you rotate the phone, the front camera is upside down.
    2. Bootloop: this one is minor but atleast its a bug, so i have to mention it. After having issues with the camera i decided to factory reset the phone, after the phone restarts and complete the reseting… It will now get into bootloop (stuck at tecno logo). Dont worry this one is minor all you have to do is hold the power button until the phone is off, on it again and it will boot normally.
    (but Remebr even after reseting the phone, you are still with the �� camera bug)
    I hope Tecno will soon rectify this.
