Windows10 – How to Disable Automatic Updates

I personally detest my PC computer from updating couple with
the fact that I just upgraded to window 10 OS and Microsoft as automatically
set Window10 to update automatically any time it kisses internet connection.
I can tell you that if you are such that manage internet
connections, 10GB data will get exhausted within 3 days on your Windows 10 PC
without you downloading anything. It’s actually weird you know.
Fortunately, there’s a way to stop Windows
from automatically updating itself. Here’s how to do it:
  1. Click on the Windows Start button and select Settings.
  2. Within Windows 10 Settings, click on Update &
    Security
    .
  3. In Update & Security, click on the Advanced
    Option
link towards the bottom of the right window inside the Windows
Update section. You should find yourself in the Windows Update section by
    default.
  4. In the Advanced Options section, Click “Choose how updates are delivered
  5. Turn off
    using the toggle.
After this, Microsoft servers will no longer push updates to
your system as you have specified that you own a metered connection that is
chargeable for additional usage.
Note: This
method is valid only for users who exclusively use Wi-Fi to connect to the
internet. It is not applicable for users connected to internet through Ethernet
cable.
